Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 2, 2026. This policy explains what Talk Me Out (“we”) collects, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Account: when you sign in with Apple or Google we receive a stable account identifier and, if you share it, your name. We do not receive your password. With Apple’s “Hide My Email” we never see your email.
- What you post: request titles, reasons, prices, up to three photos, and whether a request is public. Photos are re-encoded on our servers and their location and camera metadata (EXIF) is removed.
- Votes: votes and optional notes, linked to a random device identifier. People who vote through a shared link do not need an account.
- Settings: your language and, if you enter it, your hourly pay (used only to show “hours of work”).
- Notifications: a push token if you allow notifications.
- Purchases: if you subscribe, the app store processes payment. We receive subscription status (via our subscription provider, RevenueCat), never your card details.
- Technical logs: request logs for security and debugging, without your session tokens.
How we use it
To run the service (show requests, count votes, send the notifications you asked for), keep it safe (rate limits, spam and abuse prevention), and support subscriptions. We do not sell personal data.
Public requests and moderation
If you choose “Also ask strangers”, your request (title, reason, price, photos and display name) is shown on the in-app Square after review. Public text and photos, and notes left on public requests, are checked by an automated moderation model operated by a third-party AI provider; only the content being checked is sent. People can report content; reported content may be reviewed by a person.
Advertising
The free version shows ads from Google AdMob in lists (never on voting pages). Where required, we ask for your consent first; if you decline, ads are not personalized. On iOS, tracking only happens if you allow it in the system prompt. Pro subscribers see no ads.
Service providers
Cloud hosting (Alibaba Cloud, United States), Apple and Google (sign-in, push delivery, app stores), RevenueCat (subscription status), Google AdMob (ads), and an AI moderation provider. They process data only to provide these services.
Retention and deletion
You can delete a request at any time, and delete your account in the app under Me → Delete account. Account deletion permanently removes your account, your requests, their votes and your photos. Votes you cast on other people’s requests stay in their tallies but are no longer linked to you.
Children
Talk Me Out is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA) you may request access, correction, deletion or a copy of your data, or object to processing. Contact us at spirisebible@gmail.com.
Changes
We will update this page and the date above if this policy changes.
